Community Investments

Strategic Community Investments are those investments in health, education and agriculture not owned by the PNG LNG Project or affiliate operations.  These investments benefit the communities in which we operate and as such form part of the development plans of the Project. 

The PNG LNG Project will be developing an action plan that focuses on health, education and agriculture and projects will be designed for sustainability and building community capacity in the Project-impact area. 

Efforts will be directed to ensuring coordination of Governments, NGO’s, and existing Oil Project funded programs to ensure that various initiatives are complementary, in-line with stated Government development priorities, and lead to longer term sustainability of Project Area social services. 

In addition, there will a number of investments made by the project in upgrading infrastructure in PNG which will be developed in more detail following community consultation.
