ExxonMobil PNG has contributed K54,800 to the Kikori District Hospital for their in-village TB screening and awareness program.
The funding for the STOP TB campaign in Kikori-Gulf Province includes 30 life jackets for hospital staff to use during patrols by dinghy to villages and communities along the Kikori River.
“We are pleased to be able to work with Gulf Christian Services through Kikori District Hospital to raise awareness of healthcare needs, in particular, the control and eradication of TB,” said Andrew Barry, Managing Director of ExxonMobil PNG.
ExxonMobil PNG has been a strong supporter of health care initiatives in PNG LNG project areas for many years in partnership with NGOs, research and health care institutions at the local, provincial and national level.
Supporting community health initiatives through strong partners continues to be a long term focus for ExxonMobil PNG.
