ExxonMobil PNG Limited (EMPNG) has supported schools surrounding the LNG Plant and the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant with awards for their 2016 end of school year graduations.
Top performing students from pre-school to high school from 24 schools in the proximity of ExxonMobil PNG’s sites received stationeries and stationery vouchers from EMPNG as awards.
At ExxonMobil PNG we believe that education drives social and economic development in society as well as improve living standards.
“We believe that education is the cornerstone to Papua New Guinea’s future and we will continue to help PNG secure its future, through education,” said ExxonMobil PNG’s Community Development Support Manager Sisa Kini.
“The children are the future and they have a critical role to play in the long term economic and social development of Papua New Guinea. There is no better place and time to start than in school,” said Ms Kini.
Ms Kini congratulated the top performing students and everyone else who graduated on their accomplishments.
Teacher In-Charge of Porebada Elementary School Kaia Taumaku expressed her appreciation to ExxonMobil PNG for sponsoring the awards.
“ExxonMobil PNG has always been supportive to the school and is a valued partner in our community,” said Mrs Taumaku.
The same sentiments were shared by head teachers and principals of the other schools.
