PNG women attend prestigious Global Management Workshop

Seven women from the Central, Southern Highlands, Hela, and Gulf provinces have returned from a prestigious business mentoring program held in Washington D.C., in the United States of America.

The program, known as Global Women in Management, part of ExxonMobil’s Women’s Economic Opportunity Initiative, is aimed at training and mentoring a selection of women from developing nations.

The Papua New Guinean women that attended the course are GWIM alumni and have the skills and professional ability to push positive social and economic growth in their communities.

At the workshop, the women learned to recognise their own personal coaching styles, how to strengthen and practice communication skills and coaching interactions, and how to network effectively so that they can increase the reach and impact of their work with communities.
